أكد السفير عبد المنعم محمد محمود أمين عام الاتحاد العربى لتنمية الصادرات الصناعية، أن المؤتمر يهدف إلى إلقاء الضوء على جهود التمكين الاقتصادى من خلال بناء قدرات المرأة العربية والإفريقية ودعم المشروعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة وإنشاء مراكز تنمية القدرات وحاضنات الأعمال والتدريب للمرأة وخاصة فى المجالات الصناعية وتعزيز آفاق التعاون بين سيدات الأعمال العربيات والأفريقيات من خلال خلق شراكة وآلية للتنسيق بينهن.
كما يستعرض المؤتمر التجارب الناجحة فى الدول العربية والأفريقية فى مجال التمكين الاقتصادى للمرأة، بالإضافة إلى تجارب دولية أخرى.
